Wednesday Wonderfuls #39

(By the way, I know that this is going up on Thursday not Wednesday, that's what happens when you do late night blogging, oops!)


Hello there lovely readers, and a very happy Wednesday to you all! 

I have been loving my time in Manchester as I have had lots of my days free and worked just the nights, so I've been catching up on some lovely crafting. The first project in my Autumn Palette Challenge is really taking shape...

A little teaser of my latest sewing project...

Manchester has been so much fun - more on my adventures soon, including vintage shopping and retro bowling! - and I'm actually quite sad to be leaving in a few days, but the next stop is Oxford so I know I won't be feeling down for too long!

Anyway, let's beat those blues away with some awesome Wednesday Wonderfuls, they always make me happy no matter what my mood. I hope they do the same for you!

• Anyone here a corset fan? Who I am kidding, of course you are! Who isn't? :) In which case you must check out these pictures over at Crikey Aphrodite, I would love to pay a visit to that collection!
• After reading this post I'm not sure how long I can go on without my own hand stitched iPhone cover...
• Guess whose sewing project was featured on Tilly's recent bow belt round up? Mine! I'm thrilled, and all the other bow belts are beautiful too :)
• Anyone else who has been following Casey's circular skirt sew along will have, like myself, been waiting eagerly for the revealing of her own versions, and believe me she hasn't disappointed! These skirts are both stunning, as I fully expected from such a talented seamstress :)
• Anyone for white chocolate fondant cake? I hope you drool over this recipe as much as I did!
• I am so very excited that the publication date of A Stitch in Time II has finally been set, I just can't wait to get my hands on a copy :)
• These beautiful pictures of Jean Harlow (over at the Cats and the Berries!) have got me seriously considering a drastic haircut, watch this space I guess...!
• I have been a big fan of the blog Coco Rose Diaries for quite some time, I always look forward to her posts and she is also a very insightful and beautiful writer. This post about really appreciating every day and just living life to the full really touched me this week, I just had to share it with all of you!
